My name is Rachel Paulhamus, and I am extremely excited to be your child's second grade teacher! In August of 2013, I moved from Williamsport to State College to join the YSCP second grade team. This will be my 12th year teaching second grade at Young Scholars, and each year is new and exciting.  I graduated from Lock Haven University with my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and recently earned my Master of Education in Advanced Teaching. 

I also have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance from Point Park University in Pittsburgh. I performed in ballet for several years and have many years of past experience as a ballet teacher. Through numerous years of teaching dance, I gained many opportunities to share my passion for teaching and working with children of all ages.

Along with teaching, I most enjoy spending time with family. My son, Ian, graduated from the Delta Program one year ago and is currently studying software development. He attended YSCP from 3rd through 8th grade! We also have two cats of our own, Henry and Hunter.
